Teaching Class on the Feasts of the Lord: Thursday March 26, 7:00pm

John 1:29 … “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

Why would John, the forerunner of Messiah, use this title to announce Jesus to the people?

Why does Paul exhort the Corinthian congregation to “Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, just as you are in fact unleavened. For Christ our Passover also has been sacrificed”? (1 Cor. 5:7)

Why does Paul say of  Messiah: “Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep.” (1 Cor 15:20)

What does this have to do with a bunch of gentiles attending Olivet Church in the year 2014?

This teaching session has 4 goals:

  1. To understand what the Feasts of the Lord are, and how Messiah fulfills them.

–     We will focus on the spring feasts, passover, unleavened bread and first fruits. We will examine the passover meal where Jesus instituted the ordinance of Communion.

2.      To increase our faith.

3.     To increase our understanding of the unity of scripture.

4.      How we can apply what we learn in our home to teach it to our children and others.
